Can I get the rebate if I already have solar?
Yes, you can add a battery system to suit your household needs to your existing system and have the discount applied upfront.
What if I don’t have solar yet?
You’re still eligible. You can install a solar + battery system together. The battery portion qualifies for the Cheaper Home Batteries Program.
Do I apply for the rebate?
No. Your accredited installer applies the government discount to your invoice and handles the paperwork with the Clean Energy Regulator.
Is the program capped?
At this stage, the program is demand-driven and designed to taper over time until 2030. Now is the time to secure your battery system.
What size battery do I need?
In our experience, most homes choose 20kWh systems. We size your battery based on your household usage and investment goals.
